English Course
Foreign students, who wish to improve their proficiency in English, can enroll in the Certificate Course in English ofered by the English Language Center (ELC) of JNTU. This facility is arranged on additional fee. We strongly recommend this course for those students whose medium of instruction has been other than English. In the case of foreign students whose first language is not English and since there is a need for them to reach a certain standard in English as foreign language, it has been decided to ofer in each academic year a"Certificate Course on Proficiency in English Language bridge course.

In addition to this, DUFR is also planned to conduct Bridge/ remedial courses for the foreign students to clear their doubts.

For English Proficiency of Foreign students DUFR conducting"English Language Proficiency Course" with the duration of 2 months. For this purpose, one exclusive class room is provided for capacity of 50 students along with English laboratory consisting of Internet and English Language Softwares.

  • Important Instructions for foreign students for getting admission into English course
    1. The minimum qualifications to register English course is 10+2 or High School or grade 12 or Equivalent or more.
    2. Note: You will not be allowed for final admission without the original certificates.   Every student has to bring High School Certificate along with other certificates.
    3. Report immediately at the University Foreign Relations Office, JNT University on arrival at Hyderabad, after obtaining valid student visa.
    4. Pay Tuition fee of USD $200 as mentioned in the "Call Letter" .
    5. After receiving the Final Admission Letter from this office, obtain Bonafide certificate from DUFR and register immediately with the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Hyderabad for Residential Permit.
    6. If the students are unable to attend class work within one week period of classes commencement of particular batch, they have to wait for the next batch or they can forgo admission.
    7. The medium of Instruction in JNTUH is English. All the students are therefore expected to have Proficiency in English.
    8. If the student misbehaves during the course period, admission may be cancelled, without giving any information to the respective embassies.
    9. At the end of the course the student has to pass the exam conducted by DUFR to get JNTUH-ELT examination.
    10. Every student should have minimum of 75% of attendance to attend JNTUH-ELT exam. However minimum of 65% + medical certificate in case of student hospitalized.
    11. If the attendance is below 65%, no candidate will be allowed to write JNTUH-ELT exam and will not get certificate.
